Who we are

CoastalCallback ("we", "us") provides a missed-call text-back service to local home-service businesses in eastern North Carolina. When you call a participating business and your call isn't answered, we send a text message on that business's behalf to help you and schedule service.

Information we collect

• Your phone number (because you called a participating business).
• The contents of text messages you exchange with the service.
• Information you choose to share in those messages — such as your name, service address, and a description of the issue — so the business can help you.
• Basic call metadata (the time of your call and the number you dialed).

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and help schedule a service visit.
• To pass your request to the business you called so they can serve you.
• To measure service quality for the business (e.g., how many calls were recovered).

We only message people who first contacted a participating business, or who asked us to follow up by leaving their number in a form on this website. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

What we don't do

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell your personal information. Your information is shared only with the business you called (so they can serve you) and with the service providers we use to operate the service (telecommunications and hosting providers), strictly to deliver the service. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Data retention & security

Message records are retained only as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations, and are protected with industry-standard safeguards.

Message transcripts are retained for approximately 90 days and then deleted. Opt-out records and aggregate counts are retained longer for compliance and reporting purposes.
